The EASPD Annual Conference “Staff Matters – Disability Workforce of Tomorrow” held in Helsinki, Finland on 3rd October 2019, focused on the topics of recruitment, retention and training of social care & support workforce in the context of the growing demand for service delivery in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD).
UEF delivered a workshop presentation focusing on ENhANCE under one of the Parallel workshop sessions entitled “Staff Learning and Development, Knowledge, Skills and Competences” with title “Developing specialist profiles in social care: housing, healthcare and supported decision making ” and was able to interact directly with members of EASPD – umbrella organisations representing service providers from 33 countries across Europe in the disability sector and potential future employer of this specialist nurse profile – the Family and Community Nurse.
