Liguria Region (Italy) in strategic position to strengthen impact and uptake of ENhANCE curriculum

With the support of ENhANCE project partners SI4Life, ALISA and the University of Genoa, Liguria Region has renewed its application and successfully been awarded Reference Site status under the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP-AHA) with 3 out of 4 possible stars.

Reference Site status has been granted to those organisations and institutions who have demonstrated the existence of comprehensive strategies to advance innovation and to understand and address the challenges of delivering health and care services to the ageing population.

In the application, Liguria Region pointed out the work carried out in their region  concerning Family and Community Nurses, and direct links with the ENHANCE project were cited. In addition, a new plan has been devised for the next years where investments in the crucial role of FCNs is emphasised. This means that the Region of Liguria will be positioned as a strategic player to further advance the implementation of the development of the ENhANCE Family and Community Nurse curriculum, thus driving regional innovation in active and healthy ageing.
